The WynnBET mobile sports betting app in Virginia is set to incorporate the extensive Wynn Rewards program.

On Thursday, officials made an announcement regarding the ongoing integration, stating that it is expected to be concluded in Virginia by the end of this month.

The integration will encompass the addition of online sports betting, as well as the inclusion of Wynn’s iGaming platforms. While these platforms are not currently accessible in Virginia, they are available in other states within the US.

Even though VA sports betting primarily takes place online, the Wynn Rewards program allows players to indulge in real-world experiences.

How Wynn Rewards program works

Points can be earned by players through mobile, desktop, and on-property play. When players are ready to redeem their points, they have the option to use them for online play or utilize them in-person.

The second option encompasses accommodations in hotel rooms, meals, engaging in-person activities, and indulging in on-property entertainment at its various establishments.

Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Interactive, highlighted that a distinctive advantage of WynnBET lies in its seamless integration with the top-rated resorts across North America.

In addition, officials are seeking to acknowledge and incentivize early adopters. As per the announcement, existing WynnBET players who meet the requirements for a higher tier based on their past activity will be granted a complimentary upgrade prior to the commencement of the NFL season.

Here’s how it works:

There are three membership tiers in Wynn Rewards: Red, Platinum, and Black. WynnBET players can now earn FREECREDIT and COMPDOLLARS, which are important aspects of Wynn Rewards. By placing sports wagers or playing online casino games (only in New Jersey and Michigan), customers can earn FREECREDIT and COMPDOLLARS simultaneously through WynnBET. COMPDOLLARS can be redeemed for experiences at physical Wynn Resorts properties, including hotel stays, food and beverages, retail, and spa treatments. On the other hand, FREECREDIT can be utilized for mobile, desktop, and select in-person gaming.

Can WynnBET rewards draw new customers?

Can Wynn Rewards make a significant impact on WynnBET’s success?

It is evident that this is the desired outcome. Despite offering a risk-free bet of up to $500 for new customers, WynnBET has faced difficulties in establishing a significant presence in Virginia.

The sportsbook was officially launched on March 11, making it the sixth online operator in VA. Following its launch, Unibet Virginia made its debut on April 21, followed by Barstool Sportsbook on Aug. 10.

Despite its efforts, WynnBET has struggled to capture significant market share, which was quickly claimed by FanDuel (49.5% through July), DraftKings (25.4%), and BetMGM (16.4%) upon their respective launches in January.

According to Virginia Lottery estimates, WynnBET holds a meager 0.3% market share in Virginia.
