Street Fighter II

You could be the next winner of the Virginia Lottery alongside Ryu, Blanka, and Chun-Li. Street Fighter II has arrived in the commonwealth as the latest e-instant game.

According to John Hagerty, spokesperson for the Virginia Lottery, the game is set to launch on Tuesday, September 6th.

Isn’t the timing perfect? The original Street Fighter will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2022, while Street Fighter II made its debut in 1991.

Round 1: Fight!

You win!

How to play an Virginia Lottery e-instant game

E-instant games can be considered as digital scratch tickets, providing an interactive experience. These games are accessible through the Virginia Lottery website or its app.

The Virginia Lottery has the ability to incorporate bonus rounds into their games instantly due to their digital nature.

Hagerty mentioned that there are various prizes offered in each game, allowing players to decide the amount they wish to buy.

When the game is launched online, this is how it will work:

  • In order to win a prize, players must have a collection of three or more identical symbols.
  • Multiple bonuses will be featured in Street Fighter II, including a bonus that grants an instant win.
  • Free games can be won by players, with some featuring only high-paying and bonus symbols.

The Virginia Lottery team is constantly in search of thrilling new brands. This particular one takes us back to nostalgic summer days spent at the mall, where food courts and a pocket full of coins at Aladdin’s Castle were the highlights.

Hagerty expressed that Street Fighter was an immensely popular and widely recognized video game franchise that had achieved remarkable success over several decades.

Games are developed by the Virginia Lottery in collaboration with Instant Win Gaming (IWG).

Capcom was approached by IWG to secure the usage of Ken, E. Honda, Dhalsim, and other characters. Expressing enthusiasm, IWG CEO Rhydian Fisher eagerly embraced the opportunity for a potential collaboration.

“It is especially rewarding when your lottery partner proposes an exclusive brand, and we successfully obtain the rights.”

When the game launches, Rob Wesley, the Deputy Executive Director of Lottery in Virginia, anticipates robust sales.

He stated that Street Fighter continues to enjoy immense popularity and has a devoted fan base.
