The Lucky 7s Cash Blowout game has produced its second multimillion-dollar winner, this time a Virginia Lottery scratcher player.
The scratch-off game offers a grand prize of $2,777,777. Presently, two individuals have been lucky enough to win this prize, leaving only one more up for grabs.
Carla Payne of Stafford has recently been announced as the latest winner by the Virginia Lottery officials, who are responsible for overseeing all lottery games in the commonwealth.
Payne bought her ticket in northern Virginia at Onville Kwik Shop (115 Onville Road) in Stafford.
Virginia Lottery scratcher winner opts for cash
Payne had a decision to make after his victory in the Lucky 7s Cash Blowout.
Did she choose the one-time cash option of $1,671,346 before taxes, or would she prefer receiving the $2,777,777 prize in annual payments over 30 years? She ultimately decided to go with the one-time payment.
Payne remained her usual quiet self upon realizing she had won, as stated in the VA Lottery’s announcement.
Typically, my husband can tell that I’ve won something when I become extremely quiet. On the other hand, if I don’t win, I tend to get loud. It was so intense that I nearly fainted.
