BetMGM Car Debuts at Pennzoil 400
According to the announcement, RCR has entered into a comprehensive partnership with BetMGM, although specific details were not revealed. The North Carolina-based race team has now designated BetMGM as its official sports betting operator.
The partnership between BetMGM-RCR marks a significant milestone as the first collaboration between a NASCAR team and a sports betting operator. Additionally, it will be the first time a fully branded racecar by a sports betting operator will grace the track in NASCAR history.
This weekend, Austin Dillon, the driver for RCR, will be behind the wheel of RCR’s No. 3 Chevrolet adorned with BetMGM’s iconic black and gold colors.
The Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is scheduled for Sunday. Catch the action on Fox at 3:30 p.m.
On March 28, you’ll have the opportunity to witness Tyler Reddick’s No. 8 Chevrolet adorned with black-and-gold car design, right in your vicinity. The Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway will showcase the BetMGM logos. This race will make history in the Cup Series as it will be the first time the racetrack on the border of VA and TN will have a dirt surface.
Nevertheless, it is highly likely that BetMGM won’t be the sole sportsbook to secure a partnership with NASCAR. Just like other major leagues like the PGA, UFC, and the WNBA, NASCAR officials have witnessed a surge in interest in the sport as a result of the expanding realm of legalized sports gambling. It is anticipated that both the leagues and the sportsbooks will continue to foster and enhance their connections in the future.
Denny Hamlin a Favorite at Pennzoil 400
Once again, BetMGM has released the odds for the Pennzoil 400, and it comes as no surprise that Denny Hamlin, hailing from Virginia, is once again a top contender.
Hamlin, the current leader in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series standings, has odds of +900 to win Sunday’s 267-lap, 400.5-mile race. If you place a $10 bet on Hamlin and he emerges victorious, you will earn a profit of $90.
Martin Truex Jr., with odds of +600, is considered the frontrunner. Joey Logano, the previous year’s winner, can be wagered on at +650 odds.
Virginia driver Quin Houff, who placed 35th in the previous race, has slim chances of winning on Sunday with odds of +150000. Nevertheless, as the week progresses, BetMGM is expected to provide more feasible choices, such as the option for Houff to finish in the top 10.
The odds for Saturday’s Alsco Uniforms 300 in Las Vegas will be available on BetMGM. You can catch the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on FS1 at 4:30 p.m.
On the other hand, a few VA sports betting apps have already established odds for the race, specifically for Virginia drivers. Jeb Burton, currently holding the fourth position in the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series standings, can be found at +5000 odds on DraftKings, William Hill Sports Betting, and BetRivers Sportsbook.
In addition, William Hill offers odds of +75000 for Brandon Brown, who currently holds the impressive No. 9 position in the early season rankings. Similarly, Gray Gaulding, who achieved his season-best 21st finish on the Daytona Road Course, has odds of +100000 at William Hill.
