Hard Rock’s ongoing casino plans will be significant as they will introduce Virginia’s inaugural casino.
The former Bristol mall location is currently undergoing construction for the creation of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. With a budget of $300 million, the project aims to encompass various amenities and facilities.

Temporary casino has both gambling and dining offerings
The completion of Bristol casino’s final project is still in progress, but Hard Rock is diligently working towards the opening of a temporary casino for patrons’ pleasure. Appropriately named the “Future Home of Hard Rock,” this interim space is being prepared with utmost dedication.
The temporary space will consist of 30,000 square feet dedicated to a casino. Additionally, customers will find around 900 slot machines, 20 table games, and even a sportsbook to place bets.
The temporary casino will comprise a main floor along with designated non-smoking areas and an exclusive high-limit gaming section. Additionally, it will offer a diverse range of food, beverage, and retail choices, encompassing:

- A grab-and-go dining outlet
- A sports bar and entertainment lounge

According to estimates from experts, the Bristol casino’s final project has the potential to generate 2,000 new jobs directly within the casino. Additionally, the construction project is expected to create 1,000 jobs.
Additionally, the construction of the final casino could bring several thousand indirect jobs. Moreover, the temporary casino alone has the potential to generate a staggering 600 job opportunities for residents of Bristol.
Over the last two weeks, Hard Rock has organized a series of four hiring events at Bristol Conference Center. Their recruitment efforts have been intensive as they aim to swiftly staff the temporary casino with individuals for numerous vacant positions.
Currently, numerous executive-level roles have been successfully filled. These encompass positions in operations, human resources, marketing, facilities, security, and refreshment.
Evangelista stated that there is significant enthusiasm among residents in Bristol and the surrounding region for various career prospects with Hard Rock.
According to project officials, security personnel, consisting of 12 officers and a security manager, have already been deployed at the temporary property.
The temporary casino will be open starting from July 8, while the final Bristol casino project is expected to be completed sometime between mid-2023 and 2025.
